Create your own style

Step 1: Choose your background

Color

For the background you can pick a color or upload a nice image or created pattern.

Size

You can also set the size of you design. The maximum width and height are 100. If you choose a smaller size, the unused area will be made transparent. For an impressive background of your device, you can set the size equal to your screen size. When you have uploaded a picture, you can set the size of your design equal to the size of this image.

Step 2: Choose your figure

Type

Next you can choose your figure. First select the figure you want to use for your design.
Choosing text, you can use your own text like names and numbers, but also great text symbols to personalize your design. Or create regular polygons like triangles, squares or unregular polygons like these.
Registered? Then you can choose from several categories. For example, nature for animals and flowers and geometric for a regular design.
After choosing your figure, you can choose the colors and shapes. Read further how to do this.

Color

For each figure you can choose a color or color range.

If you choose a color range, the added items will be in different colors (within the range). You can choose the following options:
  • Two colors: all figures will be in one of the two colors (see second row in the example)
  • Color range: all figures will be in a mix of the chosen colors (see third row in the example)
  • Color variate: all figures will be in a random mix of the chosen colors (see last row in the example)
If you choose, for example, a color range of white and red, the color of the figures will be white, pink or red.

Some figures have more colors to choose, for example the color of the border of a polygon.

You can set the transparency to make the figures more transparent.

Shape

For each figure you can choose the size.

If you choose a size range, each figure is drawn in a size randomly chosen in this range. For most figures you can also choose the width to skew the figure. In case of a circle, it will become an oval. You can rotate the figure(s) by choosing a rotation. This is measured in degrees, so a value of 360 has the same result as 0. And a rotation of 180 will turn the figure(s) upside down.

Step 3: Choose your settings

Figure designer

In the figure designer you can add figures to your design. First choose the number of figures. These will be drawn randomly.
Tip: after the figures are drawn, you can click on the drawing to draw an extra figure at a specified position.

Pattern designer

In the pattern designer you can create a seamless pattern of the chosen figure.

To spread the figures more, you can choose less row and columns.

To create a more diagonal pattern, you can check the 'Diagonal pattern' box. Note: this does not work if the number of rows is not even.

Fractal designer

In the fractal designer you can create a fractal of the chosen figure. This is a figure consisting of similar looking figures (in this case your chosen figure). You can find a lot of examples in nature, have a look at flowers, trees, snails and the tail of a peacock. You can find an extensive description and a lot of other information on wikipedia. Here you can create fractals yourself, by choosing a figure and setting the number of iterations, the rotation and scale factor.

For example, a fractal of 10 iterations will draw 10 figures each turned with the set rotation and sized with the set scale factor. A scale factor of 1 will give each figure the same size, a scale factor of 0.5 will draw a figure half the size of the previous figure drawn. To increase the three-dimensional effect, you can set the color option to different colors or color gradient.

You can choose the number of fractals drawn at your design. After these are drawn, click on the drawing to draw an extra fractal at a specified position.

Spiral designer

In the spiral designer you can create a spiral of the chosen figure.

For example, a spiral of 10 iterations will draw 10 figures each turned with the set rotation and sized with the set scale factor. The scale factor will resize and relocate the figures. The smaller the scale factor, the larger the distances and the faster the figures 'grow'. The distances between the figures also depends on the rotation. A small rotation will rotate the figures slightly, which will keep the figures closer together. The rotation is measured in degrees, so a rotation of 360 is equal to a rotation of 0.

You can choose a color option to change the distribution of the colors. To increase the three-dimensional effect, you can set this option to different colors or color gradient. If you have chosen a color or size range for your figure, the figures in the spiral will be different in color or size.
